Know Your Goals and Work Your Plan - 12 weeks

It doesn't matter where you are in life, having a goal that is often tied to a dream and it is one of the greatest motivators a person can have.

Too often though there is only the goal, and only the dream. There is nothing backing it up. What is missing is the plan. How do you go from where you are today to where you want to go. It doesn't matter what the goal or dream is. Choose anything then plan how you are going to get there.

Want to finish school with a great GPA? Then plan that at the beginning of each semester, break it down into months, then weeks and finally a daily action plan.

Want to move up rank in your office? Decide where you want to go, plan your next steps, find a mentor, and create a 12 week plan. For 12 weeks focus on the plan. Write the plan in 12 week segments, with tasks to accomplish each week. After 12 weeks evaluate your plan. How did you do? Did you get derailed? Ask your mentor for their advice to help you tweak your plan for the next 12 weeks.

Semesters are approximately 12 weeks. Fiscal quarters are 12 weeks. There are 12 weeks to each trimester when pregnant. The art of planning for 12 weeks is very uplifting and rewarding.

12 weeks gives you momentum. There is just enough time to get results and requires persistence and dedication to go that extra mile. 12 weeks pushes that extra mile. Many people fall and give up after two, three or even six. If they only knew that 12 weeks goes by so fast. The 12 weeks will go by anyway...even if you do give up 12 weeks will slip by. But not for you... You can do it!

In 12 weeks - if you stay at focused - you will see results.

Here are areas to plan for over the next 12 weeks.

Income producing goals
Business goals to meet your job description
Fiscal goals
Romantic goals (keep your relationship strong)
Spiritual goals
Physical goals
Home Improvement goals
Intellectual goals

1. Write at least one goal for each area.
2. List four tasks or accomplishments that you can do or improve in each area for the next 12 weeks.
3. Weekly check in. Use a log or create a form to evaluate your progress.
4. 12 week goal... see how far you have come.

It works and it is amazing!

No matter who you are, where you come from, what your background is you are worthy of dreams and goals... and more importantly you are worthy of achieving them.

If someone has achieved a similar goal or dream before you then use that model to motivate yourself. IF THEY CAN...SO CAN YOU!!!!
